Personal Statement
I am a board certified pediatric cardiologist who specializes in cardiac catheterization of newborns, children, and adults with congenital heart disease. I completed my pediatric cardiology fellowship and interventional cardiology training at Texas Children’s Hospital in 2007. My clinical focus is on evaluating new devices, and novel uses of existing devices for treatment of congenital heart disease. My other research interests includes evaluating short and long term outcomes of interventional procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to improve the safety of these procedures for our patients. I also enjoy teaching our students, residents, and fellows and shaping the next generation of pediatric cardiologists. I can be reached at gestaple@texaschildrens.org.
