Personal Statement
I am a native Houstonian and completed by pediatric cardiology training at Texas Children’s Hospital before joining the faculty in 2017. I specialize in fetal and pediatric echocardiography (transthoracic, transeophageal, 3D). My clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease in children of all ages in both outpatient and inpatient settings. My research interests include the noninvasive assessment of ventricular function and use of advanced techniques to identify at-risk patients who may benefit from earlier interventions, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes. Pediatric cardiology is “team sport,” and I enjoy working alongside the many talented people who comprise the Heart Center. The biggest reward, however, is getting to care for children and their families.
