About

Dr. Samuels is a licensed psychologist certified in Perinatal Mental Health. She specializes in providing compassionate psychological services to pregnant and postpartum women who are experiencing mood and anxiety symptoms. She also works with women struggling with fertility concerns and women who have experienced pregnancy loss or pregnancy trauma.

Dr. Samuels was trained with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy but also relies heavily on interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) techniques as well as relational-cultural and insight-oriented methods in session. She values strong therapeutic rapport, treatment flexibility, and focusing on client goals and strengths in her practice to facilitate patient growth and cognitive/behavioral changes.

Clinical Interests: women’s mental health, perinatal/postpartum depression and mood disorders, perinatal/postpartum OCD, anxiety/panic disorders
