Dr. Paul Zarutskie is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist and obstetrician/gynecologist, and a renowned contributor to the field of reproductive medicine. Throughout his 30-year career he has treated more than 15,000 patients and consistently been named one of the Best Doctors in America.
A pioneer in reproductive endocrinology, Dr. Zarutskie has developed innovative treatment protocols, drugs, devices and laboratory procedures, including intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and cryopreservation techniques. He was one of the first infertility specialists in the United States to introduce preimplantation genetic screening services into clinical practice. His early research in male fertility established Dr. Zarutskie as a thought leader in the field and continues to guide treatment strategies.
Dr. Zarutskie has held professorships at Harvard Medical School, the University of California, Irvine, the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and the University of Washington, where he served most recently as Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
A tireless patient advocate, Dr. Zarutskie has worked extensively with healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, and regulatory authorities to advance expertise and outcomes in reproductive medicine. He served as president of the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (SART), spearheading development of the National Registry for all ART programs, and helped found the National Coalition of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (NCOART), a think tank for governmental, practice and patient issues in reproductive medicine.
Dr. Zarutskie earned his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College, Drexel University, followed by an OB/GYN residency at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Harvard Medical School's Brigham & Women's Hospital. A passionate speaker, he captures the attention of audiences with lectures on reproductive healthcare delivery, women's and men's fertility, the advancement of infertility treatments, and environmental issues, nutrition and reproductive health.
